Blaupunkt iPod aux hookup

Loved original look of blaupunkt radio for my w114, and came across this (see attached).

Installed it and works nice (ran line through ashtray). However, when I crank volume really high I get feedback (wining noise); and when engine is running, it has a low murmur which seems tied to how much I accelerate (ie, when I punch accelerator low humming sound occurs)?

Maybe I need new voltage regulator (maybe new speaker)?

Anyone ever installed one of these?

Nice cable, how much was that one?

You have interference either from the distributor or alternator....I think there are a few other ones but can't remember off the top of my head....you should have strange little things that look like this connected to them...

Is your iPhone being charged while playing through the Becker (Edit: Whoops! I meant Blau)?

Is there a difference in sound (engine running) when the charging is plugged in vs unplugged?

They don't charge, but you can use a car charger in the cig lighter for that.

Jub: Where'd you get your adapter from? I will probably do this with my Becker as well.

I have a combination charge/audio cable that goes between my phone and Europa II, and when the charge side is powered, I hear whine/noise through the speakers. Just using the audio side is vastly better.

In my case, I'm using Becker USA's remote aux cable with a "disconnect mini jack" that bypasses or cuts out the radio signal in favor of the aux in when the mini jack is plugged in.

There's a few different types on ebay, just typed in "blaupunkt iPod" and saw it. Should have 5 points on one side (see attached).

Scroll through all of them, I bought mine for 16 bucks!
