Smile Started my Engine today...Pretty excited

I haven't posted any updates on my 1961 220s "restoration" because i've been crazy swamped at work and hadn't made much progress.

This week i was able to weld up most of my fabrication and am close to sealing the right hand side. I also dropped the Gas Tank and am starting to get it ready to go.. (i think i need new tank if any has one available, this one was pretty bad)

The Engine out of a 1971 250C that i had never heard run, Started up on the palette in my garage and made me pretty happy.. i bought it sight unseen..

I hope to share soon! Love following everyone's progress on their cars!

Hi,

Goog to hear you made some progress. Hearing an engine run for the first time is always great!
Where in TX are you?
bye,

I live in Fort Worth, not too far from you. With Al and David we could form a classic MB club :-)

Very Cool, I'd be down for that and would love to meet up with you all and check out your rides. I'm trying to get finished up with mine so i can at least drive it.

Maybe one weekend when the weather is nice we can get together. BTW, I work in Colleyville and drive the Benz when the weather is nice, so you might see me on the road :-)
