Installed a gear reduction starter

When I got my car running the starter was making a clack-clack-clack sound when activated. Since I have a gear reduction starter on my other classic I bought one for the Benz aswell.
Installing a starter in a w108 is no picnic, but I found that if I turned the wheels slightly to the right then there was enough room to to get the starter out between the body and the tierods. Luckily the GR starter is half the weight of the old one, so it was easier to get it in place.

It needed a few slight modification to be installed, like the starter stud is on the side so I had to straighten the connector on the car's cable.

It is now working and weird sound is gone! The starter is also a lot quieter, at first I thought there was something wrong :-) But the car starts well every time.

I think we are not supposed to mention other vendors on this forum, so I won't mention it :-)
