One thing Al. You can easily pull the filter screen. I did that with my two sets and then put them in the ultrasonic bath.

After cleaning, if the pintle caps are broken those as a minimum should be replaced. Gurunutkins showed me how he did his, so I made a plastic jig that made them easy to install.

Replacing the hose with the original swaged fitting would be more difficult without proper equipment. Even MB say to cut the old hoses off and then use clamps. You can buy the hose in bulk from MB - something like $10/meter? Enough for about 25 connectors! Apparently new rubber is different because of the affect of ethanol.

I just ordered a bunch of injectors and pintle caps as I'm doing mine soon. Worldpac sells a hose kit which also uses clamps, but certainly the smart thing to do is get the correct diameter FI hoses and clamps and put them on this way.

I learned the hard way. First time, I bought the best 5/16" SAE fuel injector hose from local parts shop along with new clamps because hose has bigger OD than the MB 7.5mm hose. The hose had an inner blue liner. After about one season, they all started leaking. Seems like the blue liner flowed. Replaced about two seasons ago with the proper MB hose and clamps and no further problems. Not sure what they use on Jags, but the MB hose doesn't look like much, but it works well with MB clamps.

BTW: part number on epc for the rail connector bulk hose is A114-997-18-82. Our local dealer couldn't find this number. The hose he ordered was part number A230-476-87-26. I checked with Tom Hanson and he said that was now the correct number (But he said they keep changing it!)
The $10, was per foot! It costs about $30/meter.

This is what my wholesaler has, it's not the same as the 5/16 hoses you find at the retail parts store and is made in Germany.

My buddy who's doing the work on the Jag likes these hose clamps.

They crimp on and once they're on, they're not coming off unless you cut them off. I'm more then likely go with these for the Jag.

We're also rebuilding the wiring harness and have bought new connectors and boots. I've also managed to source the correct heat proof fiberglass wrapping.

Originally this stuff was only put on the ends of the wiring harness as the injectors are mounted quite low down in the valley where there's a lot of heat. We've bought the wrap in two sizes so that we can wrap the whole harness which should make it last longer.

Good that you found the harness connectors and boots. The boots always get ratty and are not readily available.

I am not so sure about those clamps. I have had those on some non-auto applications. Problem is that if they do leak, you can't tighten them. Don't know how many times I have had a gas smell in car and had to tighten up the injector hoses as well as the interconnecting hoses. Maybe you will have better luck!

Do you have a part number or a source for the boots? I also need to rebuild my EFI harness (if not most of the engine bay harness)
