280sel Issue when trying install drivers seat
I removed the drivers seat form my car (1972 280sel) and when trying to put it back in I cant get the last bolt in the front to line up. It is off about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Its not where you just neet to move it in one direction it need to move over and up. I know about how to get access to the bolts and thats not an issue. It almost seams like the seat frame is racked. but I took it out no problem and did not notice any problems at that time. Does it make a difference which order you put the front bolts in, any insight would be a big help. and if I cant get it in would a body shop be the place to take it to get in installed?

did you tighten the 3 others already? Loosen them if so. You may get the play you need to be able to get it in. Otherwise, one of your 4 legs is bent enough to cause an issue, and the only solution is to bend it back. It tends to be the rears as they can easily get knocked during removal or re-insertion into the vehicle. Or on a garage floor, etc.

I have tried to loosen them as the rears have slots vs just a hole in the front but still not enough play to get it in. I will try switching which front bolt I put in first as I might get enough play and flex to get the other front one in. I will try again this weekend and see.
