Can you identify this fitting?
This is an air hose fitting from the throttle body of a 280SE. So far all I know is that the threads measure 12 mm across and so does the body of the fitting.
The threads are 9 mm long and the tube is 18 mm long. The nut that is built into it is a 14 mm. I do not know the thread count or measure but the distance across one thread is 1 mm. Living in the boondocks as I do I will need to get this by mail but first I have to know what to ask for. I am sure this could be used as is but if I can replace it in brass, steel or stainless that is the route I want to go. No adapters.... I need to find the real thing and Mercedes does not break out this as a single part. Any help?

most of those are standard air hose nipple fittings, Give Mercedes classic a call, I am sure with your description they will be able to help

I think you are right about the Classic Center being a good place to contact. The problem I am running into is that this type of fitting, while once common, has been somewhat phased out. It is not only the fine thread but the straight thread, as opposed to the tapered thread, and every supply house seems to have the same question?

12mm across on the thread? Sounds like the same thread diameter and pitch as one of your lug bolts. (just as a point of reference). Going by the rust, it's the fitting where coolant was fed to the throttle to keep it warm in the winter. For now, just bypass it. Unless of course it's like 10 below where you are driving.
