w108 cruddy heater levers

Has anyone seen this heater lever repair kit before? Wanted to get your thoughts.

My levers are broken. They still light up, but the old fragile plastic deteriorated. on about 178 to replace with a new set.

But this claims you can replace just the lever tips and keep the unit intact. Since mine still light up pretty blue and red, I may as well keep as original as possible. (not to mention its easier then removing the old unit)
