115 clutch won't disengage

No paint marks, and lots of grease. The owner was saving it for his VW van though. And whispered a little when he mentioned the motor.

I got the motor in salinas 😜

I'll make some calls. I made another thread about a 108 front clip and need to find direction first.

Your correct they paint the parts with a lot of paint hard to remove .
Basically then make the car worthless the yard gets the metal weight and a few parts can be sold

I had a similar problem with the clutch in my 220D. One day as I was driving home from work it got stuck and wouldn't disengage. All the hydraulics were functional.

Turns out that the clutch disk broke and one of the springs in it jammed it in the engaged position. Replaced the clutch on a weekend and was back on the road.

Yes, and I guess our values increase.

You are in LA, where was the 115? And how were the front fenders/interior? Lol. I'm a little north of Santa Barbara.
I heard they squirt epoxy like liquid nails into the sparkplug holes of engines that are in pollution buybacks
makes the engine worth nada. zilch.

I don't think that is done in S. California.

I believe there are two separate programs? One for gross polluters and one for just old cars. Mines diesel so no smog.

Just stopped by the bone yard and had to show the owner it running. He as crying. Wanted it for his van. Got some money out of me at least.
