I need medication

I still haven't done the engine swap on the 280c, much less the rear wheel bearings or the fuel level issue, and somehow.....someway.....I managed to pick up 2 more light projects. 3 hours scrubbing the outside and a quick wiping down of the interior. Stuck check valve, cap and rotor were burned up pretty good, a couple window switches are shot, but otherwise it hit and ran for a few seconds, all lights work, sunroof works, seats work 186,000 miles Got a 300 td to go get too. probably give it to my dad if it's mechanically sound. Once this one is running I'll give it a full cleaning. This one may be replacing my Volvo as the DD

So who's got the ADD meds ?

Can't tell by the pics, but cap & rotor tells me it's a gasser, so it might be a 300, 380, 420, 500 or 560. Congrats on the find! I bet the heat/A/C will smell like mildew thanks to that tree it sat under

just amazes me how cars that once were of value, and someones pride and joy like this one, are just put out to pasture or thrown in barn to languish until a car nuts like us find them
Good luck,

1990 300se I see now I didn't include that piece of minute info

Yeah, it's was pretty bad at first. After I wiped most of the crud off the inside, I started leaving all the doors and sunroof open on the nicer days and the smell has just about dissipated. Once it's running and I know the drivetrain is all good, I plan to pull the seats, and all carpet out for a good shampooing, and cleaning/leather treatment. I suspect this car will look damn near new with a little care. The only interior issue so far is a tear on the drivers seat ( outer bolster ) and the slatted wooden cover on the center console is broken up.

Medication won't help.

You'll be on your way to the pharmacy to pick up your prescription, minding your own business when you just happen to glance over and spy, between some buildings, in the back yard, covered by an old tarp which has blown partially off, the lower corner of what appears to be an old Benz fender, JUST the perfect color you like.

Sigh, it's incurable.

You know however much you tell yourself, "I need another project like I need a hole in my head", you're gonna back and look at it.

One is too many, and a thousand never enough.

If you happen to find a 1950 300 Coupe or Cabriolet that is cheap and needs a home please let me know.
