I've got a 58 220S that I'm going to adjust the valves on. I have all the MB manuals for the car but can't find a simple chart like, #1 piston in firing position at TDC, adjust #1 intake, #5 exhaust etc etc. Is there such a procedure for adjusting the 6 cyl cars? I suppose I could do it by eyeball, but if there's a well stated procedure and order for setting the valves on this car I'd rather trust it than my eyes. Thanks.

IHaving done this many times, I would suggest you trust your eyes. It is much easier to follow the trying to use a manual. Once you get started, just keep trak of which ones you have done so you don't skip any.
