Damn, 3 attempts? What went wrong the first two times? Also, did the installer use sealant or no? Seems to be a bit of debate over whether or not sealant is kosher...

Get any of these older Mercedes up on a hoist for proper rust evaluation if any signifigant rust is noticed initially. There can be real serious rust issues with them in other areas.

Also best to have a friend along for the inspection that knows where to look on these models. If the car also shows a repaint very important that it be an older one. They can easily fall into the category of being just a parts car as a result of rust that is just too expensive mind able to bee repaired.
