1974 280C Power Windows
I was wondering if someone could give me some suggestions concerning the power windows in my 1974 280C. The drivers side window goes up to a point where the glass is about 1/16" away from the top weather stripping. With the glass being at this point I get a very annoying wind noise. The gap appears to be pretty uniform across the entire length of the glass. As the window is rolled up, when it gets to the top, it kind of jumps almost like a tooth of a gear is partially bad. It only does this toward the top, the rest of the way up or down it is smooth. I was wondering if there is a stop that needs adjustment. Kind of wanted to get an idea before I tear into it. During the summer I just drove with the window down, but I live in Nebraska and winter is approaching so.........

Probably a bad regulator. You'll need to pull the door card to be sure. The top tooth is commonly worn since there is no electronic stop on the system and it is the most used window.
They can be repaired if you choke on the price of a new one. Requires welding and fitting but doable.
