W108 Bodywork Recommendation

Hi there,

I acquired a 72 W108 about a year ago now. She was in beautiful shape, but got rear ended about a month or so back.

Its bodywork only, no frame damage or anything complicated, drives just fine and I can source all the parts from Irvine, and Atlanta, some coming in from Germany. The insurance will pay the full MB parts prices and labor.

I was wondering (and would be extremely grateful) if anyone can recommend a body shop in the Austin, or general TX area. I tried MB Austin, but they consider themselves to not have quite enough experience to take on something like this...

Some pics attached!

Thank you - I'm looking for somewhere really good, and understand there are a more than a few experts over here..

Look under the General Discussion section and scroll down until you see the words Tex-Mex. There should be some recommended shops listed for Austin.

You might also contact member JeffreyinMemphis....I think he's actually in Houston that's why I mentioned it.....he's got the all kinds of info about your vintage MB.

Thank you sir,

I didn't see too much body-shop based but may have missed something.

Thank you!

That's why I want her repaired correctly - all OEM or best parts. The rear main bumper is really tricky to get, but one side of the chrome broken means she'll get the whole part replaced.

Few more pics.

I know a few guys in Dallas that can fix it and I have all the sheet metal (used but rust free) should you need to buy used instead of new.

PM me.
