1965 300se stalling

My 300se coupe is stalling after it warms up and is driven. At stop lights I can put it in park and depress the accelerator to keep it running though it wiil spit and want to stall. Once it cuts off, (stalls), It fires right up and runs wonderfully for awhile, then it does the process all over again. The car was sitting for about a year. Could there be "junk" in the fuel/tank/lines/filter? Where are the fuel filter(s)? Time to buy the C.D. Rom!!! I want to take it to the new MB WERKS north of Atlanta to have it gone over but I am afraid it will not make it.

You may want to check you idle setting.. it might be too low.

If it were the idle, would'nt it cut out and stall more consistantly? It also seems that the car would rev. up when I accelerate instead of bog down.

My 114 did the same thing till I found the intake nuts were loose. Could be you have that or a similar vacuum leak. Old cracked vacuum hoses?

Mark ,
How does a vacuum leak cause it to stall only when it is warm and then allow it to start again?

Thanks,
Clunker.
