Please take a look at the attached photo. My car was missing it's air box. I found a decent one, which is identical to the one on the right in the photo. Guess which one I really need however? Yep, you've got it. Problem is, I cannot seem to find the type shown on the left anywhere..it seems it was only made for the early w116 engined cars. My 1971 w111 3.5 has a low level throttle body, and so the air box on the right will not fit. There is also the issue of the hoses, but I could have worked around that. Does anyone know the part number of the early v8 w116 air box please? And any clues as to where I would find one would be appreciated. Many thanks, as ever.
