doors
i am looking at a 71 280 sel for parts for my 6.3. i know the doors will fit but the trim around the doors are different i have been told, how difficult is it to remove the trim from the 6.3 and transfer to the 280 sel doors? thanks

I have never done this but I think the chrome on the A pillar, which is unique to the 6.3 (I think) is supposed to be a real chore.
Someone might known right off hand or someone might be able to experiment on a 108 parts car. I think you did the right thing in posting here. This would be easy to mess up. |

I went through this same exercise with my w109. I needed the front and rear drivers side doors and used W108 doors are much more plentiful. However I found out the only way to use a W108 door is to cut the window frame off of the W109 door and weld it to the W108 door shell. There was no other way to attach the chrome trim to the W108 window frame. In the end I just searched for good W109 doors.
