Your engine number would tell you and there were a lot of variants of this engine.
The engine should be a M110. After that should come three numbers, something like .921 or so. You could then research this engine number to find out all of its specs'. As old as this car is it might have had an engine swap so you will need to determine which engine you currently have. |

if it's running with d-jet, you have the right setup. Like Idle said, confirm that the engine number, is a 110.983-12-xxxxxx, If I remember correctly, it's up front on an M110 by the distributor.
BTW, the oldest copies of the M110 motor have the djet 7.4 section for the system. There are some small wiring differences compared to the v8s with the same setup. -cth |

Should have higher compression, as US versions after '71 had reduced compression to lower NOX emissions and run unleaded gas, which was only widely availible in regular-grade at that time. IF the FI is working right, and with smaller, lighter Euro bumpoers and a stick, it should be able to get out of it's own way!

Back in '90, I remember a salmon-color W116 280S, with a 4-speed stick rolled up to the shop where I used to work. The driver needed a fuse checked. Car had a black cloth interior and manual windows too. I wouldn't mind having one like that today- salmon and all!
