Having said that, I can get a photo of my 300D automatic linkage.
I have a couple of these cars.

By the way. The w115 never came in a 300d, only 300D
The 300 (d) was built 1957-62
Can you please post some pictures of the vacuum lines near the injection pump so I can see if I have everything right with vacuum, so I can go next step and try to tune the modulator.

PS: How many turns can we do to the modulator for tuning the vacuum?

I wonder the automatic cars have a kick down switch under gas pedal.I wonder did your trans have a connection.Was it cut,and wires taped together,keeping it in first.

I added also the kick down switch but since it doesn't change to 2nd gear I can't test if it works or not!
