230 carb kits

I have a 65 230 with two single barrel carbs. I'm looking for carb rebuild kits or a part number for them. Anyone have an idea where I can get them?

Start with Mercedes part number 900 070 25 01. There are a number of places which still have these. Most kits contain everything you need to rebuild both of the carbs.

I would also check with Pelican first. If they don't have it I bet they can get it.

But first check to make sure you still have the original carbs. Some previous owners have replaced the factory Zeniths with Webers.

The part number I gave you if for the original Zenith.

The M115's also had single barrel Solex'es on some models.

Post #1 on this thread for a photo.

There is a designation on the carburetor that will tell you what kit to search for. Look for 32PICB or 34PBIC or similar. Royze should have the kit you need.

One manual I have says 38PDSI x 2.

Enter '38PDSI carburetor rebuild kit' into Google and see what comes up.

They appear to be about $15 per carb kit.

I would not go by a manual, but rather look at the actual carburetor for the correct number.

Hey,
thanks for the lead. I ordered them today - about 45.00 USD shipped directly to me. My local supplier wanted $139.00 CDN each!
