rubber supports bosch reflectors
Trying to find the small rubber bullet like supports for w107 headlights.
Anyone know the proper name or even if they are available as parts and part number? |

Should have said reflector supports not headlight supports.

There are a couple of bushings listed.
000 826 00 94 quantity 6 and 000 826 04 94 quantity 2. Not sure if those are what you are looking for. I've got a set of headlights around somewhere but can't find them this morning. |

Sounds like those are what I'm looking for.
When I get to my PC I'll att' a photo. As mine are 40 plus years old they are getting very dry and fragile. Many thanks. |

Many thanks for the part numbers.
I have tried a lot of searches, US and EU and the result is that so far they say bushing but none of them have an image to verify they are exactly what I'm looking for. I don't have a main agent near me MB or Bosch. I'll keep searching, thanks again. |

I've used sections of rubber hose to replace those bushes in Bosch/Hella headlight assemblies. It took some digging to find hose with the right diameters/wall thickness, but it worked fine once I found the right material.

gmog220d beat me to it.
The hose pictured is vacuum hose with an OD of 9 mm and ID of 3 mm, 13 mm long. Unfortunately I don't know where I picked it up. Could be Mercedes or General Motors. |

Rick, now that you mention it I think I too used some thick wall vacuum hose most likely left over from a '67 Chevy I had a while back.

In my photo I attached before it is a piece of hose I fitted myself but the bore is probably too big to hold the pin securely I think.
I'll check some more local spares shops for something with a better fit and may use silicone to help keep them in place. Thanks again. I was hoping to have to car ready as an Xmas present for my wife but its the small things like above that are adding the days on. |

Just a couple of photos, before and after.
Lights back in on friday when I chas down the best bit of hose for the reflectors. |

The hose pieces should be a snug fit in the holes they go through. And the "pins" should also be snug going through the bores. The pins I've seen have soft "barbs" at the tips. The hose pieces should be short enough to allow the barbs to clear the bore on the other side (see Rick76's post, first image). When inserting the pins they'll kinda pop into place when pushed through all the way.

No barbs on mine so will find some hose that's a tight fit in the mount and ditto for the pin then use some silicone as a re-enforcement.

Mine doesn't have barbs either but it gets wider near the end. The vacuum hose that I used was a very tight fit in the hole and the pin fit very tightly as well.

I pulled a reflector out of the stash. There's a bush on the edge of the reflector that's intact. I assume this material is the same as what was used for the adjusters. Pretty thick walled stuff. OD is about 8.5mm. Diameter of the holes the bushes fit into is about 8.0mm.
The adjusting pins are still attached to this reflector. They're just like the one you pictured, Rick76, tapering back from the tip. When pushing the pins through the new bushes a little silicone grease would help ease the process. With the right hose you won't need any silicone sealer/caulk for things to hold.
