W108 bumpers on w115

Does anybody know if W108 bumpers would fit on a W115 I have fabricating skills and welding

Not looking for a perfect factory looking fit just something to replace my US spec diving boards.

Thanks in advance for your input

Why not buy W115 bumpers from a pre-73 car?

There is a w108 at a junk yard near me so I thought I'd look into it

Check to see if the 108 still has the hydrocompensator on the rear axle. If so you could buy it, sell it (if it still works) and that would go a long way towards buying the 115 bumpers.

swap

I had a similar suggestion,
Buy the 108 bumper and sell it to get the "right" w114/5 bumper.
That way you keeping some more parts in circulation....

I can't imagine it fitting. And storing and shipping a bumper is a pain.
