Just spotted this car on "Bring a Trailer". Looks like it's getting rock star treatment with three hundred photos and a $10,000 bid on the first day. I'll be sad to no longer see any updates to its thread on here, but there certainly is an exciting week ahead watching it in auction!

Thanks. I spend a lot of time there so I have tried to make it as comfortable as possible. Heat in the winter and AC in the summer. Use the AC more than the heat for some reason!!

The car was converted to R-134a back in 1995.

You never know. It might not sell. I have had good luck selling my cars on eBay but I really like BAT's auctions. I like that they police it and that, once the auction reaches two minutes left, any bid starts the clock over at two minutes. No last minute sniping as on eBay. It should be an interesting week.

I don't feel BAT is quite as strong on selling muscle cars so I advised my son to sell his '69 Camaro on eBay. He has owned it nearly 18 years. Not sure if he is really my son as I cannot imagine keeping a car that long. Five years has been my record. As you may be able to tell by the number of photos, I did the ad for him.

He plans on using the money to install a P85 Tesla motor in a 1979 911 roller that I found for him. It promises to be very fast!!

The car sold for $28,750. I have already been paid and the new owner may pick it it this weekend.

It should be a fun car and an interesting project. I am considering converting it to fuel injection. It has PMO carbs now and that company also makes throttle bodies for fuel injection. This should make the engine look good and run even better.

That's a steal for that car. Seeing 108 values recently, in another 5 years it may very well be worth double that.

Congratulations jerhofer. While I don’t quite understand not keeping the car to enjoy the results of all that hard work, I do understand it is the project in which you take pleasure. Thank you for sharing your photos and information. I have a similar vehicle (I wish it was the SEL), and I learned much from your work. Good luck on the next project.

What is the switch on the center console between the power window switches?

I don't know. It had a wiring harness on the back but was not wired up to anything.
