Ignition switch wiring.
I really need to find out the wiring colour codes for the ignition switch on my 280SLC.
All the diagrams I find are not colour coded and are for 107 044 Xxxxxx Mine is 107 022 Xxxxxx HELP going crazy here. 😨 |

Wild guess =>
The other chassis wiring is probably pretty close if not the same. If not (#1) => Find the diagrams on startekinfo for the W123 with the M110 engine - that will probably get you quite close to what you have. If not (#2) => If you get really stuck then you could pay for very short term internet access to WIS (available via the startekinfo site) - this is pretty costly but might help soothe the pain... If not (#3) => Ask a R107 owners club for help - joining an accredited Mercedes owners club often gives you access to EPC and WIS which can be well worth the money |
From what I can make out from my diagrams:
50- Violet/White 15 - Red/Black (2) -- 1.5 R- Red/Green -- 1.5 30- Red (2) -- 2.5 P - Green/White-- 0.75 P30- Red/Green -- 0.75 Appears to be 2 Red/Green wires but one is twice the thickness of the other. |
Andy put this in Goog;le Search box . >>> Pagoda SL Group Technical Manual.

Ok thanks for the info
. Helps a lot. Only one more quick question on the wires. Which one is the primary power wire to the switch? Thanks again. I need to start another thread on fuel and I hope and think it should be a quick easy answer. |
Circuit 30 is the main power feed (the 2 heavy red wires).

Thanks every one.
Maybe today I will see that little red light on again. |

All systems now have power. All I have to do is find the mouse that chewed the wires and reward it suitably.
Many thanks for help from all. |

As TC used to say
I hate meeses to pieces. A couple more bad bits to bridge and be there soon. |
Tomorrow will be a day. Will be the get the engine started day.
All injectors to have final clean, lines blown through, fresh battery you name it. Have a good spark at each plug and now I understand I have k jet and not d jet I can go in the right direction. If you don't hear from me again I've gone looking for a tall building.😆😆😆 |

Injection unit was removed and serviced and the sensor plate now moves as it should.
The Thai Merc engineer has explained setting up the flow after refitting but I just want to check. When ignition is on but engine not started no fuel should come out of the six ports on the distributor. If the sensor plate is pushed down slightly then fuel should start to flow. Correct ? If one or some of the ports don't emit fuel the there is a screw next to each one that can be removed for access to the adjuster screw.and a 3mm hex is used to adjust the port . Clockwise to increase counter clockwise to reduce. |
