60's and older grille dimensions?

Anyone have a 60's and older stand up type MB grille that they can measure ( rough dims are fine. )

I've got an extended project and may use a MB grille rather than the homemade one.

Thanks

Would the dims from a '62 Finny be useful? If so, I can measure mine for you.

Yep, that's the one I was thinking of, thanks. I had one of those type cars 35 years ago but didn't think to measure it.

To help others, the 1970 ish and up 220 / 240 type cars are supposedly 14" tall and 31" wide.

Sorry for the slow response, vacation got in the way! Mine is 24" wide and 23" tall, not including the hood ornament.

Hope this is what you are looking for.

Old thread but the w110/111/121 sedans are the same size. Early w108 6cyl is a bit shorter and the v8 cars are a little lower and wider than the 6cyl. I can measure if your still wondering, I've got them all.

I ended up getting a 60's grill that supposedly came from an unknown year V8 MB ( with round stacked headlights like the pic in post 5 ). It looks like it will work but if there is a wider one I could be interested in finding one. ( The seller seemed to be OK until he started talking about seeing UFOs and mini big foot so I didn't stick around long enough to press him for the exact model. . . )

If you are up to it, posting the dims would help others in the future.

That would be a w108 280se 3.5 or 4.5 most likely(68-72). If it's a w111 coupe or convertible 280se 3.5 its probably pretty valuable. Although they may have just adapted the w108 grill to the w111 with a different hood. I'm curious what your building now though. I've been thinking about building a traditional 50-60s style open fender hot rod out of my 60 190b basket case and a m117 or maybe m119 if I can't stuff it in my w111. And use a w111/121 grill shell of course.
