Temperature sending unit
1971 250 with M130 Carburated engine
Does anyone know where I can find the connector that crimps on the wire for my temperature sensor, the one on my thermostat housing is rough. Last edited by donlawson84; 03-22-2017 at 02:04 PM. |

Well, Don, there is good news and bad news. The bad news is the connector is not a one piece unit. It has an inside piece (Cable Connector) and an outside piece (Pin Bushing). Pin Bushing is the translation from German. Doesn't make much sense. Just accept it and don't try to figure out why. Trust Me.
The attached photos will reveal all. The good news is both pieces are available from Mercedes-Benz. The one piece of info that I do not know is if the actual female pin comes with the Cable Connector. I think that it probably does. That is why it is called a connector! If it were me, I would simply go to a Pick-A-Part or any Junkyard that would let you have access and simply cut off the entire connector with as much attached wire as you can see. Take a couple as spares. That is what I did. The part number for the Cable Connector: 008 545 20 28 Less that $3.00. The part number for the Pin Bushing: 009 545 14 28 Less than $2.00 Good Luck, Hope this helps.
