Red face 1974 240d w115 Part Identification and Interchangeability

Hello everyone. While doing some recent work under the hood I bumped the Green wire Leading from my Coolant Temperature Sensor and the wire has broken off. I no longer have a working temperature gauge after this. The problem is not the gauge itself but the plastic Female electrical connection. It is broken and the wire is shot. I have attached a picture. I have found the sensor but not the wire. I'm thinking about just trying to repair as I would any electrical connection but I would like to make it clean and properly functioning.
This is not my picture but it describes the wire. I need a new Green wire and female connector.

Thank you all for the help.
