SUCCESS! I'm still not sure about the number but I did manage to find some 27mm X 8mm bulbs. They also have the cone shaped tip.
And they work! When I was ordering them the seller didn't know the number either. But they asked me what physical size they were. Apparently this is how these bulbs are ordered. |

Wattage is important also. Those bulbs are probably 5 watts.

A very good point. These are 3 watts. They work great and give just the right amount of light.
I did manage to squeeze in a bulb that I knew was not right in a car I had years ago. At night the light coming out of the shifter gate was bright enough to read a map by. I don't know why, since I don't know enough about light bulbs to figure it out, but the lights that are correct are just right. So 3w, 27mm x 8mm should get it. Or at least be a good start when searching. I am sure these have a bulb number. It is just that no one seems to know what it is. |
