75 280S Tie Rods

Hello all, I was wondering if you all can help me.. I did my tie rods yesterday on my car both sides..I ordered 4 Lemforder tie rods all the same part number..I assembled it all back together and then I seen when I was looking for some other parts that there are left and right hand thread tie rod ends..i did notice that on each tie rod sleeve I had to turn one the opposite way to tighten. My question is being I was able to somehow get what I had to work does it matter whether the left hand or right hand thread tie rod end is on the inner or outer end of tie rod assembly for any particular reason? I thank you guys for your help

No difference in the grand scheme of things but you should assemble the tie rod ends with the same orientation, LH thread to the outside on both assemblies as an example. This ensures when you need to do an adjustment you would turn the sleeves the same direction.

As an example, if you wanted to change the toe-out, you would turn each sleeve a corresponding number of turns in the SAME direction (CW or CCW).

If you have them mixed then a CW direction on one side would have the opposite effect of a CW direction on the other side.

Wait, what? What do you mean all four ends are the same thread? There's no way you assembled it using the existing adjustment sleeves unless you cross-threaded at least two of the ends.

No they not cross threaded..I bolted them up and I was able to actually turn adjusting sleeve on both sides by hand to bring the wheels straight..I don't know how or why..lol..I actually didn't even realize there was left and right thread till after I installed..so basically I just wanted to know that as far as anything technical as long as the turning I should be ok? I don't even really remember if one side I had to turn opposite of other..even if I did it's nothing something that would bother me..after all how often do we do alignments...
