130-981

It will make a difference. In my experience ( I re-engined my '66 230sl with a 130-981-12-xxxxxx) fron a tee-boned '68 109-016 (with never any air susp) The difference was mostly valvetrain noise (often asked if it was a diesel!) And very much accelerated rocker and ballstud wear. Finally replaced that cam with a used, generic 130 cam. Still purrs 20 years later! kb

The M130, and the M110, in their highest rated production versions, produce about 60-65 HP/Liter.

USAC Midget and Sprint Car engines (on methanol), and NASCAR Cup engines (race gasoline), produce about 130-135 HP/Liter.
10 extra HP isn't really that much, but for the fun of it I thought I was headed down the need to replace engine route.
