Help identify these switches please...
I have some assorted switches. I don't know what they are supposed to control. They are not from a car that I currently own - probably salvaged from a 60s Mercedes in the distant past. Any clues would be appreciated as I would like to try to get these to someone who needs them and beginning to describe them is the first step to finding out who wants or needs them.
1. two position on/off switch 2. three position switch. Perhaps for headlights? 3. three position switch with lightbulb. Note that the knob for this switch has a tiny hole in it, and when knob is removed there is a fiber optic shaft that would illuminate just like in the W111 / W113 early fan switches that barely light up when on. 4. something older. I have no idea. The threaded shaft has quite a small diameter Finally, there is a closeup of the logo that is on the switches. What company is this logo? It doesn't look like Bosch or Hella to me but I'm not sure... thanks! Scott

Number one is a heater switch for a single speed fan.
Number two might be a wiper switch or headlight switch. The wiper switch would have three positions if you count 'of as one of the positions. The wiper switch pulls out; I can't remember if the headlight switch turns or pulls. Number three is without a doubt a heater fan speed switch. Just go to evil bay and look for Mercedes 111 heater switches. If you don't see one then check on the 'sold' items. These come up all the time. Number four is not a Mercedes switch since it has the screw down poles and not the plug in. Porsche used a few of these, but their switches usually had blades that the wires plugged into. Well, put it this way: I would be surprised if number four were a Mercedes switch. And I don't know that logo but I see it a lot. If anyone knows the name of this company I would like to know it as well.

It would help future users if you posted part numbers from all the switches in the message not in a pic so they can be searched.
The # in the second pic comes up as: So far nothing on the stacked lower case " f k " with a lighting bolt on either side. Last edited by 97 SL320; 08-11-2018 at 08:55 PM.

None of the switches have part numbers, at least not MB part numbers. That would have made it easy.

I'll rephrase that. Post any numbers on the switches in a message not in a non searchable pic. Having every bit of information available is absolutely critical in researching unknowns.
Using the 461630 number in the second pic netted the e bay link showing it is a W110 111 112 wiper switch. There is a high possibility that running other numbers will turn up good results.

Marking on switch 290330 4. something older. I have no idea. The threaded shaft has quite a small diameter. No marking on switch.

They start out rather long and usually wear down to almost flush with the knob. I think they used the fiber optic so it would be cool to the touch if you ever touched it while fumbling for the heater switch.
