Time sensitive: (Cross posted on BWorld) Harvesting parts from a soon-to-be-crushed 2

So I’ve got a 1981 240D and there is a 240D I have access to until Monday - my car has some rust in the quarters and the rear so I want to take those (just bought a new aftermarket replacement panel but screw it, would rather have the real thing). The shocks were recently replaced (Billstein) and I’m going to harvest those, but what else do I take?!?!

Disclaimer: I’ve got a friend going with me Monday to try and saw zaw the back end off but other than that, I’m pretty much a newbie and can use any help I can get! The engine, tranny, lights, wheels, brakes are gone and so is most of the interior. THANKS FOR ANY HELP!!

Grab all the lights so you can butcher them into proper LED setups without taking the car out of comission.

Any and all bolts-802 german hardware is excellent quality.

Many thanks! Well, the front end bilsteins I harvested ride GREAT! Upon putting on the rears, the insanely rusted and collapsed KYBs sheared all their lower bolts off! Now I’ve got a date with the local tire shop to dig out the screws - not much fear of driving there without rear shocks as what I had in there as “shocks” were just about anything but!

Wow. Those look like the Fred Flintstone artifacts I dug out of my SDL! Luckily the bolts didn't shear, but those shocks were anything but. Not even any resistance to being pushed! The ride improvement was unbelievable with the new Bilsteins!

Here are some parts that might be usefull:

-glow plug relay;
-OVP relay;
-Fuel sender unit (even if it is inop, a good cleaning is often all that is needed);
-Vacuum pump (these are getting rare to find);
-Injectors (maybe a bit much, but I wouldn't mind having and extra set);
-Vacuum reservoir (all vacuum components really).

There maybe more, but that all that was on the top of my head.

Thanks! I did grab a few vacuum pumps including trunk and gas tank lid, and the fuel sending unit is literally BRAND NEW!
