Hello
I am busy with the preliminary test re-assembly of my 70's Mercedes after extensive rust repairs in the front where all panels, nose, radiator support ect had been removed.
I now have issues with getting the gaps to the hood correct.
It appears like the front of the fenders needs to move closer together towards the hood edge but I cannos see any way to get this right as the fenders are attached to the front strut at the bottom, to the radiator support/nose at the front vertical edhe, to the radiator support and inner fender / valence along the top.
As soon as I move them in, none of the holes line up with the front strut. And the radiator support is a fixed width.
What is the correct method to get this right on an earlier Mercedes?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
