5 allen bolts holding the front rotor removal tip. 1976 280C
In order to replace the front rotors, the hub needs to be removed and the rotor needs to be separated from the hub. The rotor is attached via 5 (10mm) allen bolts that after time turn solid, dark, chocolate brown with rust.
The problem is that there's no way to hold the rotor so that leverage can be applied to brake those bolts free...not unless you have a vice. I don't, I'm in a private parking lot. So, soak the bolts from both sides with PB Blaster or a fact simile thereof. Let that sit for a few. Then take the tire that you just took off and place it face up. Take the hub with rotor attached and place it face down on the wheel and insert two of the lug nuts from the bottom of the wheel upward to attach the hub to the wheel. Grab a torque wrench, sit with the tire between your legs and the bolts will come right off.

Or use an impact wrench.
