Any interest in a Becker Pinstripe repair discussion group?

I've been trying to find on-line discussion of Becker radios from the mid 1960s through early 1970s. I have fixed some myself and know a few others who have also fixed them. I'm looking for a venue to share information, and above all, to avoid the "Send it to Becker in New Jersey". Is anyone aware of a radio discussion forum for this type of radio? Is there any interest in a sub group being created for this topic?

Scott

That's quite an esoteric request, you may get lucky, but would there not be an already existing group for similar era radios of all makes? I don't know anything about radios, but I imagine there are many common aspects across similar age makes and models. You've probably thought of that though.

I've searched forums, etc. There is a little useful info on RadioMuseum's website, but not really an opportunity for DIY and discussion. I posted this thread on Peachparts, Benzworld, and SL113. By far the most response has been on SL113 with the recommendation that I start a WIKI within the Technical Manual section of sl113. I suppose I might do that, but am concerned that I would be the only person contributing to it.

I'm curious. What is wrong with Becker in New Jersey? Personally I have had a great experience getting a Europa Stereo II refurbished.

There is nothing exactly _wrong_ with Becker AutoSound in New Jersey (except they used to actually sell parts, now they only sell repairs). But they are expensive and some of us like to fix our cars and our car radios. It's kind of like saying "why not just take your Mercedes to the Classic Center?"
