Hello all!

I am looking to replace the shocks on my 72 280SEL. I am seeing that some have a build date of post 09/72 applicability, and pre 09/72. My car as built in 1971. Should I be concerned with this date?
I was hoping to use the KYB KG4530 shocks because they are cheap, and I'm just trying to get this car back on the road.

Thanks for that reply. I should have specified, I am having issues with finding the correct front shocks based on the manufacture date that is pre-9/72. I am seeing that is an issue with some manufacturers..
That being said, 9/72 is not even mentioned on the Pelican Parts page for either Bilstein or OEM...

Confused!

The difference is:
Pre-9/72 > W108 chassis
Post-9/72 > W116 chassis
