HELP! 72 280SEL 4.5 Cooling system

I am putting new heater hoses on my car between the engine and the firewall (heater), The metal tube that runs under the intake manifold (part# 1172000354) which connects the water pump (front of the engine) to the heater hose (back of the engine) has failed due to age and corrosion. Has anyone replaced this? Can I snake this through by removing the radiator? Does the intake manifold need to be removed? Any suggestions?

Thank You,

Pat
