loose wheel bolts
Can anyone help. I have a problem when driving some of the wheel bolts come loose. what's the cause and how do I fix it.
I have been changing wheels from 14's to 15's etc..also the bolts for the 15's are longer, does this cause a problem. Thanks Mick 70 300sel 3.5 71 280s 72 300sel 3.5 72 280se |

Check to see that your new wheels have the cone-shaped inserts in the holes, and that your bolts have the matching collars!

When my OEM tire tool rounded off one my rear lug bolts, I substituted a BMW 3 series, which was longer on the rear of my 108. The extra length seemed to make contact with the brake mechanisms in the hub. So I hacksawed it shorter and ground a nice bevel and it worked. Then I got nice BMW tire tool which is in my opinion a better thought out piece.
