It runs!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay I have successfully intalled the head and the car is running great!!! No horrible sounds of destruction!
Only things now are to clean the front brake discs as the sound raly bad and one seem to be grabbing and I guess I broke the temperature line.. oh well. I'm going to try to find a used one as buying a new is a bit ridiculous. The temperature gauges on these cars is in farenheit right?

Hot Damn!
Love it when they work! Get a temp guage (or whole dash cluster) off eBay, they tend to be cheap there. Or pull one in a junkyard -- the W115 is the same instrument cluster. Or I could try the one at the local u-yank-it for you if I ever get time. You may not have one out of my running cars! Be very careful with them -- the usual is to twist the line up trying to remove the senor in the head, followed by crimping the tubing. Big PITA. Brake grabbing is most likely a bad hose, acting like a non-return valve. Check the condition of the rotors, and expect to do rotors, pads, and caliper rebuilds. Saves time to do it all at once rather than sequentially. Peter

To install the temp gauge I guess they thought you would run it through the dash, screw it in and then untwist it before iinstalling in the ash.. It's kind of similiar to how you have to connect the brake lines actually.. I may try the upick ..I haven't seen any on ebay recently.. I have a "parts" car but I guess I was thinking about selling it alltogether .. that is if anybody wants to drive it away...otherwise I am going to dismantle it myself..
As for the brakes.. it's not the hoses as I just installed new ones. There are rusty.. on one side there was a very dark patch from where the pad started to fuse with the disc.. I polished it down and added some brake lubricant.. for the most part they are fine now but without taking the calipers off I cannot see a way to get to the other sides of the disc to clean them or squirt some lube in there...
