Alabama Stretch??? - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

A friend of mine told me that a really good thread on Mercedes was hosted by a "Alabama Stretch"....I couldn't find it anywhere, have you guys heard of him or his thread???

Yes, he is a good friend of mine. I started out helping people out on the net at his board at the Yahoo auto boards. I still participate there as well. Stretch ran his own shop in Florence, AL, but recently went through a career change which somewhat restricts his participation, but he does get to do it once in a while, he was answering a few questions this week already. Thanks Gilly for the email thread to Stretch!!! A couple of years ago when I had another MB, I use to go over there every day on the net...man you two guys have helped all of us rookies so much! Thank you again...think that I will go over there and see what you can help me with now that I have a 450 SL!!!!!!!!! Be talkin to you!!!!!!

The era of the 124, 126, 201 (mid-eighties to late eighties) is kind of the dividing line with Stretch and me. The above mentioned models we kind of share. If it's older technology, like a 123, 116, 107, usually I wait for Stretch to answer. If it's later, like 129, 140, 202, 210 etc, I usually answer it. So give Stretch a chance to answer you.
