Paint shops in NY,NJ area

Can anyone recommend good paint shops in New York, New Jersey and surrounding areas that worked on vintage benzes?

I had success back in '91 getting 280/8 painted at Maco shop on Hope St. in Stamford, CT.

By chance, one of the painters there owned a 450SE, so he took special pride in working on the car..... If it was me, I'd look for a paint shop with an old MB in its parking lot.

Another suggestion: June is best month for paintwork... it can take several weeks for the paint to dry completely.

Here is where you want to go... If you want to travel, Richmond Automotive in Newark Delaware is the best there is. He's an authorized Mercedes repair center, the guy who fixes your new Mercedes before you take intial delivery... Anyway, I've heard great things about H & Z in Fort Lee on Rt 80. Good luck!

There is a place called The Stable in Gladstone NJ that sells a lot of interesting older cars. They might have a place that they use.
