Nice one.
I think it has the rare 15 inch bundt wheels on it. Can someone confirm? It is worth to get it just for the wheels.

280 4.5

I am curious. All the pics of 4.5's I see have an air cleaner. Are they Carb or FI ? Does not the E in SE/SEL mean FI ?

They have electronically controlled fuel injection. The brain is right behind the left fog lamp.

Every internal combustion engine I know of (except aircraft engines) has an air cleaner........ the V8s are all fuel injected, mechanical on the 6.3 and 6.9, D-jetronic electronic up to 76, then K-jetronic to 88 or so, then LH jetronic after that.

The E stands for Einspritz, or injected.

Looks like the guy who bought it has a history of not following through. Wonder if that'll be the case with this beauty. It's a shame to see them going for so cheap and (in my case) a bad omen that I cannot find many other Silver/Black ones >_<. I really would love to find a silver one for cheap that I could put everything into if needed.... my body shows the signs of living in the rust belt. Oh well, enough of my bickering

He didn't follow through

And the seller had to relist. It sold for 2550 last night to a reputable bidder. Damn ! I wanted that one but can't yet afford it.

What is this a scam? Or he really can't get people to pay for it?

I don't think it is a scam. The guy has a good reputation according to feedback.

His terms and conditions

I emailed him asking why it was being auctioned again.
He said the buyer either didn't read or understand the terms of sale. Winning bidder must send certified funds or wire transfer FULL amount within 3 days.

This is very odd for Ebay transactions. Usually a deposit is required and full amount is paid on delivery.

I find it very unnerving - the thought of sending him 2500 for a car - sight unseen.

Well, I looked, and the terms of sale in the auction for the BMW was the same.
