Picture of Spring Drive!

Picture of my spring drive!

Just installed a new idler arm kit (PITA) and enjoyed my new feeling car! What a difference!
Next is a new guide rod.

ED, what are the symptoms related to bad Idler arms?

Nice pic...love the big white wheel
Is that the original rear view mirror?

There isn't a particular symptom, just crummy steering, play, wandering, etc.
Crawl under enough to see the idler arm, and have someone move the steering wheel back and forth in the "neutral" zone and observe the arm, you will easily see the slop.

The only thing left to change is the "guide rod", which is located right next to the steering damper.

Hey, it just arrived! Ding Dong, and it was here!

Too sick to install it as I am getting over some food poisoning which really slaps a body around!
