220seb fuel injection

does anybody know the lengths of the linkage rods that connect the 63' 220seb's fuel injection pump to the gas pedal.

there are three main rods in question

1) from pump to upper rod (runs across valve cover)

2) from upper rod to venturi valve (air intake)

3) down from upper rod to pivot point mounted to engine block

i can't seem to locate original linkage pieces...

and
i have the ball joints and pieces of threaded rod but i am just unsure of the lengths

I don't know the answer to your question off hand, but if you still need the answer, I'd be gald to measure the linkage rods on my '62 220SEb, which I believe has the same engine as your '63, the smooth and powerful six cylinder SOHC fuel injected work horse.

You really need to set the stops on the FI pump and the throttle body. Then adjust the linkage to fit.

There is an adjustment procedure in the passenger car manual which requires two angle measuring 'protractors', for lack of a better word.

after not being able to locate the angle adjustment tools and two weeks of trying to adjust the linkage myself i finally took it to the local MBZ guy (ned's independent).

ned adjusted the linkage and was able to obtain an idle (same spot i was at) but was not able to get consistent power under a load. after further troubleshooting he determined my electric fuel pump was only spitting out 4 pounds of pressure.

i'm changing the pump this weekend and i'll let you guys know the result.

and
thanks for the hints

ok
i installed the new fuel pump and she started after only a little bit of cranking. the new pump puts out 14 - 17 lbs. pressure (14 lbs. with a load and 17 without). this is all i could find on short notice

i'm pretty sure the 127 engine calls for an 18lbs electric fuel pump... does anybody know the load range on that? is it 18lbs while under load?

it's kind of funny...
my old pump says 2.5-4lbs. right on the label. i never even looked at the old pump as it was sent with the new engine.
