***drool, drool, drool!!***
Of course, this just PROVES what most of us plebians have suspected all along: only diplomats and professional MB techs can afford to own/drive one! (I respectfully disagree with those writers who allude to "gangsters" -- everyone knows "real" gangsters drive Lincoln Town Cars!! Catrinus Portland, OR 73 280C |

Tommy at Scranton - If it was me at nearby vacinity with comparable 108/109 car, I'd gate-crash the event. Best day to attend might be Saturday June 14 when things are winding down..... Just show up with eyeballs popping out of your head and fresh coat of wax on your 4.5 Should they lean on you for the cash (unlikely on the last day), rely on enthusiasm and personality to get you by. Yet you might be exiled to the parking lot among the cars until the gatekeeper decides to invite you inside, this is worst case scenario. You might otherwise rely on MB dignitaries to welcome positive enthusiasm that your presence can provide. Play it cool and am thinking it wont be disappointment, even if "standing room only" status is what you achieve. |

I was just thinking small gettogether - I am far too broke to spend $300 on a gathering! Besides, my 4.5 needs much more than a coat of wax

Aaron:
Very cool car. Mine is in the shop, you wouldn't know where I could get the chrome headlite assembly for the passenger side? Mine blew off at about 120 on the Beeline going to Cape Canaveral. I got stopped the first time in 15 yrs the other nite. I was showing 145 on speedo of new Porsche Cayenne, slowed and here came unmarked car. He was a cool guy, I told him nice stop, I had no excuse, I had to see what the new car would do. He asked what the car was and I told him and said they're fairly fast. He said "I know it goes 131." He asked for one good reason why he shouldn't write me a $500.00 ticket, I replied that I couldn't think of any except that it would be a very nice thing to do. He let me go!!! Good luck with the 6.3, when I get mine done, if I don't unload it first, I'll post pictures. Roger |
