If I swap a 1974 ECU into my gremlin-ridden 75 450SE will I fry anything? Comparing the wiring diagrams it looks like everything ECU related was the same. Any ideas?

This is just a stab in the dark,if both wiring diagrams look the same ,go for it.

Otherwise, how are things going with the beast?

Already done it, that's what "NO" meant... ;-) It ran but there was a little funkiness to it until I swapped in the MAP sensor that went along with the 74 computer then it ran quite nicely.

Things are at least not getting any worse. I decoided to take a break from the mechanical side and started re-wiring the engine this morning...
