1961 220SEb that needs master cylinder and slave cylinder

Is the slave cylinder and master cylinder very difficult to replace? Any special tips? I figured that the master cylinder would be easy because of its location. I mainly want to know about the slave cylinder. The car is a 4-spd. on the column. Are parts like these expensive?
Thanks
David

You can look on FastLane or the other online providers to price the parts. I dunno this model, but the slave cylinders on the cars I have worked on are quite accessible. The master is sort of a pain because it is up under the dash.

A couple of hints - buy an appropriate-size flare nut wrench, syphon or pump out the resevoir before you start, replace the flex hose, and use a power bleeder.
