How Rare? No Sunroof 6.3?

A few weeks ago, I had my eye on a 6.3 300SEL on ebay. Battleship gray with no sunroof. It was said to be rare, and come to think of it, I've never seen one. Is this indeed a rare car? Is it worth more or less because of it? The car went for what I beleive a cheap price, well below 10 thousand, and it had only 55k on the clock. Seeing this car has got me vying for a 6.3. Was just curious about the sunroof delete option.

I saw that 6.3 also but to be honest even if its rare it was butt ugly on those pics. I hope it looked better in real life but this grey paint and olive (if they were olive) seats really is one of the worst (but rare) combos.

I like the color and liked the price it went for. It had low miles, and seemed in good shape. Horrible pictures. Your 67 300SE/C, it's not a Middlehauve 6.3 conversion is it?

Interesting question because here in Oregon, sunroof 6.3s are rare. I have two with however and love them. The drawback, they are heavier by maybe 25 pound, hence a .025 seconds slower than one without. I don't believe with or without mean a thing on value. The 6.3 is one of the greatist sleepers in history and they are severely under valued, under rated, under covered by the press, and are not given the proper place in Benz history.
The last time The Star covered a 6.3 was in 1982 or so. It's a laugh, a true joke. They can blow away most comers with a "little work" and a few alterations. 0 to 60 possibilities, very close to 5 seconds.
They have been treated this way for 20 plus years now. Will that change, don't know and prefer it this way. Parts cars are next to free. I like cheap parts. I know what they can do. I love the beasts, even the ugly ones.
Garages Kill, them for sure.

Not just 6.3's, but all 108's and 109's are shamefully undervalued.

For that matter, the other ultimate sleeper, the 450 SEL 6.9, is not only undervalued, but also completely ignored. If you look at ads in classic auto trader, they can't hardly be given away.
