Unbelievable 220SE
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2418386609&category=6329
This is probably the most beautiful Mercedes (car) I have ever seen. This is unreal. What comes to mind when you think of the new models and some peoples complaints about cheapening and reliability? No thought enters when looking at this, the jaw just drops and drool starts running out onto your shoes. Awesome.

Oh my gawd! To think there are people plunking down $32K for a Lexus -- or some low-end plastic MB -- when they could be driving THIS. Hurts my teeth and toenails.

The bid went up 10,000 $ overnight. It will be interesting to see where it lands.

I'm sure the reserve is well above $100,000. Heck, DECENT ones (not perfect ones) seem to go for $35,000 minimum.
I'm attaching a link to another one that seems too good to be true (in terms of price). I find that Traderonline.com is a good place to browse prices because it reflects what people are asking, not some come-on "starting price" that isn't anywhere near the reserve price that you find on ebay. http://www.collectorcartraderonline.com/addetaildriver.html?46957004[/URL] |

Gourgeous car. But the big money seems to want the 3.5 low grille models or the Pontons so I don't think it will come close to 100K.

Chuck is (of course) right. I was thinking of the 3.5.
Gee, so maybe I CAN afford it??? I do think this is the most beautiful bodystyle MB ever made. Catrinus |

If that is the starting bid price on a 1963 220SEb, I am happy to know that, although mine is an unrestored example with 100,000 miles, it has doubled in appreciation!
