It certainly changes the look and must improve the handling. I hope you've taken advantage of the opportunity and changed the shocks and bushes. It can make an amazing difference. I had a 1973 W116 280SE with new Bilsteins and the car handled superbly when driven aggressively.
Anyway, here's a pick of my 6.9. It actually appeated in Practical Classics in the April 2003 issue. Fuel consumption is irrelevant really but I did average 16 mpg on a spirited A-road drive to Devon last weekend. Better than a Jag V12. It's not the kind of car one drives every day so fuel economy is of secondary importance. Adam |

1972 280SEL 4.5 89,000 miles 3rd owner, absolutely original rust free CA car, Horizon Blue needs some interior work runs incredibly. Unfortunately I will be listing the car for sale due to a job transfer to Italy for the next 3 years...Alas....

Motor killed itself 2 months after i bought it. Replaced it with a 105 000 Euro spec motor. |

I'm going to try big ground pepper if still running hot after I have my radiator rodded next week, I'll take a $3 fix right now. 54,000 miles and running perfectly untill I put that timevalve system on my car. Should have my ass kicked.
