Update on the york to sanden progress!

Hi,

A few weeks ago I under took the task of getting the air conditioning system upgrade.

So here's what happening:

after cutting and modifying the so called york to sanden plate/bracket i do have the sanden 508 mounted with correct belt
alignment. this involed cutting the rear of the plate off and elongating the the mounting holes that mount the old one to the new one. .

I did end up testing the whole system , two things were bad.
the blower switch was intermittant , upon close inspection i could see little blue flames from the bottom of the rorary switch. since its staked to the levers control body a replacement ment either trying to restake one or buying the whole thing for benz which i opted for since one of the lower(heater) arms was snapped.

The other unit that was bad was the driver side changeover vac.
diapram.

At this point I am am still going thru the relays and temp switches
that control the aux. fan. i know the fan motor is good.
But I have conflicting info on at what temp the fan should come on. dealer says 220c book says 100c.either way looks like someting's not working only comes on when it feels like it.
luckly the relays are the same (2) i have one new one hopefully swapping them out will give me the answer if one is bad or both.
Alot a work and not for the faint hearted , but the goal is to have
air that will last over the years to come.

ANy thoughts or comments ?

Just one comment,
The dealer probably means 220 Faranheit or 100 Celcius. Same temp in any way (water boiling)
